Ft Chadbourne : Ft Chadbourne was established in late October of 1852 to protect the settlers moving west.  During the Civil War it was used by the Confederate States.  After the war, it slowly declined until it was disbanded in 1867.

In 1999, the Fort Chadbourne Foundation was established to partially restore the fort area.  By late 2005, several building had been restored, but there are some still in ruin.

The fort is located 12 miles north of Bronte, TX.

Buffalo Gap Historic Village : Go back in Texas history as you tour the open air museum of the Buffalo Gap Historic Village.  The site is owned by the Grady McWhiney Research Foundation and is operated as part of its educational programming.  The interpretive focus of the Village is of the Texas Frontier - from horses to horseless carriages.  Currently the site is divided into three historic areas: 1883, 1904, and 1925.

The 1883 area contains The John Thomas Hill House, First Taylor County Courthouse and Jail, and Knight/Sayles Cabin.

The 1904 area contains a Doctor's Office, The Bradshaw Post Office, Barbor Shop, The Clyde Railroad Depot, Blacksmith Shop, Village Gallery, and the Eagon Barn.

The 1925 area contains the Cottonwood Flat School, Bourn Texaco Service Station, The Bank, Buffalo Gap Post Office, and The Print Shop.

Outside the gates is also a Nazarene Church built in 1906.

Sequoyah Farms : Sequoyah Farms is the $5.1 million dollar headquarters of GK Performance Horses. It is located near Norris Lake in Andersonville, Tennessee. The "barn" includes 28 stalls, including stallion, foaling, washing stalls, and a breeding area. It also includes a lab, tack room, conference room.  The upstairs has a viewing area, lounge, and apartments.  There's even an indoor arena. Some areas are still under construction and new construction is under way or planned.  It includes acres of open fields for grazing. Andersonville is located about 30 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee.
